Center for Relational Intelligence & Strengths Based Living

Relational & Strength Culture Shift for Families, Teams, & Organizations

Culture Shift Through Relational Intelligence

When relationships thrive, you thrive!  Conflict, lack of unity, misunderstandings, underdeveloped leaders, and broken families hinder movement.

We are focused on training and certifying leaders to implement Relational Intelligence Training within their organizations. We utilize world-class scientific-based assessments and proven training systems to empower leaders and military ministry units across the United States.

American Strengths Center has a collaborative partnership with ConsentiaGroup, Inc. to implement and train SDI 2.0 for Families and Teams with a special focus on US Military.

The SDI 2.0 Psychometric Assessment is used to objectively measure an individual’s personality traits, intelligence, abilities, behavioral style, and aptitude.

  • The SDI 2.0 applies a science-backed methodology to help people understand themselves and how they interact with others – to improve the relationships in the home, unit, & organization.
  • The SDI 2.0 shows who you are and how you work through four interrelated views:
    • Motives:  The three core motives behind your approach to people, performance, and process. This blend is expressed as your Motivational Value System (MVS).
    • Conflict:  Your Conflict Sequence, a unique result, shows your changing motives as conflict escalates, giving you the chance to correct course.
    • Strengths:  Your Strengths Portrait presents all 28 strengths you use. It also reveals how our motives drive the strengths we use most.
    • Overdone Strengths:  Everyone pushes their strengths too far in some cases. You’ll learn which ones you overdo—insight that can keep you from losing effectiveness.

Below are our TWO proven, best-practice curriculums:

Relational Intelligence

is a powerful leadership & resiliency tool that is key to helping your family, team & organization thrive and experience a transformational culture shift.

Strengthen Marriages

Developing Stronger Bonds – relational intelligence is a new type of intelligence factor. The study of Relational Intelligence impacts how we understand ourselves and relate to one another. It teaches that building meaningful relationships gives you the best chance of building a meaningful life.

Increasing RI in any marital relationship will take a concerted effort. It starts by making a conscious choice to improve the bond. This awareness leads to a better understanding of the other’s behavior and ultimately, a healthier way for couples to resolve conflict.

Relational Intelligence Marriage Workshop & Retreats

Helping couples grow can have exponential impact. The benefits have a ripple effect, like dropping a stone into water. Helping a marriage can impact children, relatives, friends, and the wider community. It is essential to help you develop a culture where relationships thrive.

The bottom line when it comes to resolving marital issues, there are no easy answers. To fulfill the emotional needs of your ministry, you may need to provide counsel in a variety of ways. Not all couples want to attend a private one-on-one discussion just as others might prefer it.

Many couples don’t know how to make time for counseling, especially with hectic work schedules. By offering a weekend retreat, couples can schedule a dedicated time to focus on growing their relationship.

SoulMates for Life (SFL) Military Edition is a best practice curriculum that is ideal for military couples & families. It is designed to help military couples on their journey of relational awareness and a better marriage. With OPTEMPO requirements of deployments, training cycles, TDY travel, changing assignments, etc. all impose a dynamic set of pressures, stress, and challenges that are unique and specific to the marriages of those who serve our nation in uniforms. The SFL military edition is presented in collaboration with the Chaplain Corps.

Research demonstrates ASC’s SFL training produces highly significant transformation in soul awareness, relational management, conflict resolution, and marital/family harmony.

Build Better Teams

Teams composed of strong relationships are less likely to have communication breakdowns. Focused on conversations where work gets done, teams with relational intelligence promote healthy opposition to quickly see all sides of an issue, so they can make timely decisions that produce healthy results.

Relational Intelligence Team Building Workshop & Retreats

It is crucial to build high-functioning teams within your unit. Teams accomplishes its mission through members working together in unity. It is critical the team understands the unique contribution of each team member.

TeamLIFE Team Military Edition is designed to help build high-functioning teams.  While working closely together is bound to reveal how we are very different from one another, this training shows us how we can appreciate these differences and use them to build stronger, more effective teams.

Empowering Organizations, Teams, Leaders, and Individuals to create Relational Intelligent, Strengths Based, Engagement Focused, Performance-Oriented, Character-Driven, Holistic cultures.

Culture Shift Through Strengths Based Living

We are focused on training couples, leaders, and teams to implement Strengths Based Resilience Training within their family, unit, and organization. They utilize world-class scientific-based assessments and proven training systems to empower couples, leaders, and military ministry teams across the United States.

American Strengths Center has collaborated for years with Gallup Faith Practice and offers a few Strengths Based Living programs to help your Family Live as You Were Intended to Live & Thrive.

Our SBR training curriculums leverage the Gallup CliftonStrengths® assessment – a scientifically-based form of psychometric testing designed to help individuals reach their full potential by turning personal attributes into strengths.

The assessment uncovers a person’s unique rank order of 34 CliftonStrengths® themes. These themes are their talent DNA. They explain the ways they most naturally think, feel, and behave.  To turn talents into strengths, they must invest in them – practice using them and add knowledge and skills to them. Simply put, Talent x Investment = Strength.

Understanding their strengths unlocks their potential and leads them to greater performance empowering them to experience both success and satisfaction in their marriage, parenting, team, unit, and organization.  Strength science answers questions about what is right with people rather than what is wrong with them.

Research shows that people who know and use their CliftonStrengths® are:

  • More engaged at work
  • More successful and satisfied
  • More productive in their roles
  • Happier and healthier
  • Have a more empowered marriage & family

Currently, we are featuring two proven, best practice curriculums:

“We were fortunate to have our training facilitated by an ASC Master Trainer. Prior to our arrival at KMC, everyone took Gallup’s CliftonStrengths assessment tool to identify our top five strengths. On day one, we focused on the importance of leveraging these strengths to be better leaders and teammates in our personal and professional lives. On day two, we focused on the importance of leveraging these strengths in our marriages and relationships with our children. While several of us have taken many personality tests over the years, this was the first time I used CliftonStrengths—I found it easy to execute and a pretty good tool, and therefore I highly recommend it for a senior leader Strong Bonds event. Its positive and strength-based approach to building team and family resiliency is ideal for this type of event. I am sure there are other really good approaches out there, but ASC’s curriculum SBLR – leveraging CliftonStrengths was really well suited to support our training objectives.”
